As if on a beautiful Sunday
The synergy of the majestic park, representative architecture and historic aura of prosperous seaside resort region makes Kadriorg a place where every day feels like Sunday.
Only a few chosen ones are lucky to call this place their real home. The houses of Kadriorg already have their determined residents who will not turn back to mediocrity from their cozy home so easily. The hope of a newcomer to settle down or to create a special working environment here is rather fragile.
In the summer of 2011, the faster ones can still find their place in Kadriorg.
In a dignified milieu, at the address of 19 Poska, people will lead a contemporary and comfortable but noble life. The skilfully restored expression of the buildings, which are architectural monuments, gives a special feeling to the area.
All three houses will be given a new life in the green and homelike courtyard of the castle borough of Kadriorg, or the Slobodaa area, built in the 18th century. One of those is one of the oldest wood buildings in Tallinn. From this building that represents old classicism, a house with minimalist extension and eight apartments will be constructed, and it will follow the proportions of the former building. The south-western building will become a dream home for one family.
The one-storeyed house in the north-eastern corner of the courtyard, that has a rare mantle chimney, will be renovated into a stylish and comfortable working environment for two offices.
Every home and office in these restored architectural pearls is unique. One thing is sure: all the residents of 19 Poska can always have the beautiful-Sunday-feeling in Kadriorg, also in casual moments.
